We are delighted to offer for sale, this sympathetically built tribute of the Honda RC racing bikes of the 1960’s.

This is a skillfully fabricated homage to machines such as the 1961 249cc race bike that earnt Mike ‘The Bike’ Hailwood not only a World Championship win, but also podium-topping success at the Isle of Man TT in the same year. Indeed, this particular replica is adorned with the number '10' on the sides and nose of the fairing, depicting the original and only (priceless) bike that now resides in the Japanese Tochigi Honda museum.

Quality components have been used throughout this build. Starting with the frame, engine and gearbox from a 1978 Honda CB400 '400/4'. Swarbrick race exhausts (£730) and a Borrani front rim (£198) both feature and indicate the calibre of the build. A more exhaustive list of componentry (totaling £3,461) can be seen below:

Prior to the build which took place from 2015-2018, the engine was stripped and checked for tolerances. Since the build, the bike has covered approximately 1,250 miles. It is MOT exempt due to the age but a daytime MOT can be obtained. It looks and sounds absolutely superb and would make a fun addition to any collection, and/or a distinctive focal point for a relevant retail space.
